Lifemoves Opens New Rehabilitation Clinic in North Vancouver

Lifemoves' Front Door 201-130 Pemberton Avenue North Vancouver

I am very excited to announce the we have established a new clinic space in North Vancouver at 201-130 Pemberton Avenue. During the last six years we have been located within other facilities; now have an independent space to grow within and help our clients get moving for life.

While the last eight weeks have been a difficult and soul searching time for myself and Lifemoves® the following quote has really helped me stay focused and moving forward.

“An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it’s going to launch you into something great.” – Unknown

Some clients have asked me “why have my own space?” There are several reasons, but the main reason is because it has been my dream and vision since 1999 to own a rehabilitation clinic within a training studio. Half of that puzzle came about because Andrea Perrino of Go to Hellth understood my desire for a clinical space while we still use Go to Hellth for gym based conditioning programs. My heart and eyes lit up when she showed me a nearly 900 square foot space with a washroom that includes a shower. It didn’t take me long to figure out that this space was where I could rebuild Lifemoves®. During the last four weeks with help from family and the support of close friends and clients I have been able to complete the needed renovations to get the place ready for clients. Some of the materials have come from Pemberton businesses –Dulux Paints, Nu Trends, North Vancouver Linens and Nu Floors.

We are located above Richie Collision with a separate street level entrance on the corner of 1st Street West and Pemberton Avenue. For now intake assessments, fascial stretch therapy and any sessions that do not require the gym equipment will take place at 201, while more gym based activities will continue to take place at Go to Hellth which has a separate entrance, but is in the same building.

At the moment this is the only clinic of this kind in the area. I am looking forward to growing Lifemoves® in this unique location to be the go to place for health and rehabilitation on the North Shore with other practitioners such as Physiotherapists, Athletic Therapists, Occupational Therapist and Registered Massage Therapists.

If you haven’t been in for awhile and need a tune-up or know of someone who could benefit from our movement coaching expertise please call us at 604.283.1858.
