Lifemoves Raises $300 During First Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

Lifemoves’ Kinesiologists raised nearly $300 in their first fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada. On July 10, the front reception area of Steve Nash Fitness World was decked out with balloons and tables with information on Cystic Fibrosis. Sponsored Athlete and double lung transplant recipient Margaret Benson also allowed us to display her medals to complete the scene.

For the event we set up a three-minute aerobic fitness test station in the Personal Training studio, Fascial Stretches in the front, and we held a raffle for items we received through our gracious donors. The amazing food was catered by A Moveable Feast and the delicious deserts were courtesy of Cupcakes by Lori and Heather — it was all a huge hit!

The Lifemoves Kinesiologists and staff enjoyed getting to know some of our clients in a more casual environment. We even taught a few of them how to kneel, and in some cases stand, on a stability ball.

We had a great time during the event and enjoyed seeing all of you who came out. Thanks so much to everyone who dropped by and thank you so much for supporting such a worthy cause! We also want to say a special thank you to Twist Conditioning and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of BC.
