Practicing Kinesiologist

Updated 30/12/2015  -Vojtek as moved on to another position. Vojtek is a graduate of the Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology program at Simon Fraser University. During that time, he gained experience by participating in the cooperative education program.

Active at an early age, he was involved in a variety of sport activities ranging from soccer to basketball. These early experiences propelled his interest in the field of biomechanics and a yearning to better understand human anatomy and how the body functions.

In 2012, Vojtek was the Athletic Trainer for the Coquitlam Adanacs Lacrosse team and a Research Assistant in a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) study lasting 5 years.

The Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology program at Simon Fraser University enabled him to follow his interests and passion in human kinetics and to expand his knowledge and thinking – specifically in a rehabilitation and fitness setting.

In 2013, he underwent a practicum at Orion Health Rehabilitation and Assessment Centre where he worked alongside Kinesiologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and Occupation Therapists. In June 2015, Vojtek worked as a Student Kinesiologist at Clyde Wellness Centre located in West Vancouver. There, he gained direct and practical experience in an active rehabilitation setting implementing client specific exercises to improve strength and mobility.

Vojtek is excited to begin a rewarding career as a Kinesiologist by helping others regain function, improve performance, and enhance quality of life.

The ability to make a direct difference in people’s lives is what inspired me to become a Kinesiologist. I find the area of rehabilitation and fitness to be a dynamic and continuously changing topic. I know Lifemoves is at the forefront of applying new research and effective plans for its clients to get them moving with strength, ease and confidence – a major reason why I decided to begin my professional career as a Kinesiologist at Lifemoves.
