You can book up to twelve exercise therapy sessions in the first three months from the date of injury. The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC)'s Enhanced Program provides these initial visits with a Practicing Kinesiologist without needing a referral from a Doctor.

We recommend a referral from a Doctor if more than 3 months have passed since the accident. It all starts with an initial assessment to evaluate your current abilities and any injuries, set goals, and provide one to three exercises to start with. To extend the active rehab program, we submit a treatment plan when the approved visits are completed, or the treatment end date is approaching.

Our objective with active rehab is assist you in recovering to as close to pre-accident function as you can; this means returning to work, the activities of daily living and sport or recreation.
At the start of the active rehab program your Kinesiologist will first complete a detailed assessment and then select exercises appropriate to your condition and abilities. During each subsequent session you will be coached on how to complete and progress the exercises so that you are able regain mobility, improve strength and reduce pain. With our guidance we will help you return to work, recreation or activities of daily living and continue to lead an independent and active life.

How to Pay for Active Rehab
We direct bill. You get stronger, reduce pain, and return to the activities you enjoyed before the accident.
All accidents occurring after April 1st, 2019, are eligible for 12 pre-approved kinesiology sessions that must take place within the first three months after the injury. If we feel that you need more, then we complete a mini-reassessment and submit a treatment plan to ICBC.

- Is today within the first three months after the injury? Yes, book an initial assessment. No, contact the ICBC claims specialist to get approval for an initial assessment. Then book the assessment. Our intake forms ask for the insurance information.
- Bring any relevant diagnostic information to the first kinesiology appointment. Wear comfortable exercise clothing that lets you move freely.
