Practicing Kinesiologist | Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist | Strength and Conditioning Specialist | CEO

Alfred has been a Practicing Kinesiologist since 2000. He founded Lifemoves® Health and Rehabilitation in 2007. Alfred and Lifemoves® were recognized twice by the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. He was finalist for the 2009 Business Excellence Young Entrepreneur Award and was nominated again in 2010.

As a human movement specialist, Alfred’s strengths are working with clients with chronic health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. He was one of the first four Practicing Kinesiologists in British Columbia to be certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy™ and one of a few Kinesiologists to complete the Diploma in Rehabilitation Management from Simon Fraser University in 2008.

In March 2013, he began to integrate Neurokinetic Therapy, a method of re-establishing effective motor control into his practice. He is very passionate about helping clients move better and with less pain so that they are able to enjoy daily life as well as recreational activities.

He searches for the most current research and best practice methods related to health, rehabilitation, lifestyle and fitness.

While each session will be educational and fun, you will also be accepted for who you are and what you are capable of doing. With compassion and acceptance, you will also be challenged to move differently and move more so that you can get back to what you were doing if injured, continue to do what you enjoy or take on new adventures! Reconnect your body with your mind to cultivate a strong balanced mind and body. The body is a series of connected links in a chain which react and talk to each other.

Athletic Pursuits

Alfred enjoys the mental and physical challenge of endurance events. He has completed one marathon and competed for BC in Biathlon. In the past you could find him on the Grouse Grind in the summer, and hiking and running. He's improved his own fitness by taking off 22 minutes from his Seek the Peak 2010 (16kms, 4100 ft from Ambleside Park in West Vancouver to the Peak of Grouse Mountain) time of 2:24:40 by finishing in just over 2:02 hrs in 2011.  His fastest Grouse Grind is 35:32.

Alfred is exploring the Olympic lifts and gymnastics rings to discover how they can be applied to all populations. In the winter you will find him on the snowshoe trails or cross country skiing. He unwinds and releases stress by being physically active, using infrared sauna, and participating in yoga, writing, and reading.

Now in his 40's, Alfred became a dad in 2015. He maintains his running capacity by going out on the road trails with his son four times per week. Alfred is looking forward  to sharing an active lifestyle with his son. His long-term goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon, but for now  his best Vancouver Marathon time is 4:00:01 achieved in 2015.
