During their first kinesiology session, clients often wonder what the difference is between kinesiology and physiotherapy. They would also like to further understand when to choose between a kinesiologist and a physiotherapist for care.
When patients are told by their family physician to be more active, they often don’t have the first clue of where to go or how to start. Kinesiologists provide guidance to fill their prescription based on their health history, lifestyle and goals.
The difference between a personal trainer and a kinesiologist is more than just what we choose to call ourselves. The main differences are our scope of practice, base education and the types of clients we can design exercise programs for.
Wow! It has been a year since our first private personal training, fitness and rehabilitaiton studio opened in North Vancouver. While it took me 15 years, I held on to the dream of my own studio; last year that dream culminated in a lot of hardwork to become a reality.
